Industrial Memory and Storage Solutions
Industrial memory and storage components work where consumer parts fail: wide temperature range, vibration, unstable supply voltage, constant write cycles. Satron Electronics supplies industrial memory, flash storage and DRAM for embedded systems, telematics, factory automation, medical and transport equipment. Every industrial SSD we ship has a fixed bill of materials, so the NAND flash memory, the controller and the firmware stay unchanged through the product lifecycle — decisive for certified equipment.
SSD and Flash Storage Product Range
Our line card covers the main form factors of solid state storage, from enterprise SSD for servers to a compact flash memory module for space-limited boards. Selection starts with the interface and the mechanical format your platform supports.
PCIe and SATA Solid-State Drives
A solid-state drive with a PCIe interface gives sequential speeds several times higher than SATA and suits video analytics, edge servers and continuous data logging. SATA models remain the safe standard for legacy platforms and single board computers.
Embedded and Removable Flash Storage
A Disk-on-Module plugs straight into the SATA or USB connector of the motherboard without cables or brackets, which removes contact failures under vibration. DOM storage suits kiosks, POS terminals and control cabinets. For cameras, drones and measuring instruments we supply CFexpress card, CFast card and CompactFlash card products with a guaranteed write speed.
Industrial Memory Cards and USB Storage
An industrial SD card and an industrial microSD card differ from retail ones in pSLC or SLC operating mode, power-loss protection and full traceability of the flash dies. They are used in routers, IoT gateways, dashcams and portable instruments. USB flash storage comes as a standard stick or as an internal module with a pin header.
Industrial DRAM Modules
Besides non-volatile storage, we deliver DRAM module products of DDR3, DDR4 and DDR5 standards in DIMM, SO-DIMM and ECC versions. An industrial memory module is tested at −40…+85 °C, uses chips from one production lot and is rated for 24/7 operation. For platforms sensitive to timings we follow the board manufacturer's qualified vendor list.
Key Parameters for Selecting Memory and Storage Products
Two drives of the same capacity can differ in service life by an order of magnitude, so it is worth fixing the requirements before the order rather than after the first field failures.
- flash type — SLC, pSLC, MLC or 3D TLC defines the number of write cycles;
- TBW and DWPD — the write endurance for your daily data volume;
- temperature grade — commercial 0…+70 °C or industrial −40…+85 °C;
- power-loss protection, hardware AES-256 encryption, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring;
- longevity programme: firmware locking and guaranteed availability.
Applications of Industrial Memory and Storage
Embedded flash memory is the quietest part of a device until it fails. In telematics and eCall units it survives thousands of power cuts a year; in machine vision it absorbs a continuous write stream; in medical instruments it must keep records auditable. Marine, rail and energy projects in Sweden, Norway and Denmark add condensation and long maintenance intervals, so industrial grade pays off even when a consumer part fits the specification on paper.
Memory and Storage Supply from Satron Electronics
We work with manufacturers of industrial flash storage directly and through authorised channels, so lead times and firmware revisions are confirmed before the purchase order. Our engineers compare candidates, prepare samples for validation and select an equivalent if a part becomes obsolete. Warehouses in South East Asia and Eastern Europe support scheduled deliveries to the Nordic countries, and drives can be shipped separately or installed during contract assembly of your boards.
